Mobile Developer

Responsibilities

Help improve the native Guidebook app (Android, iPhone, Win8).

Requirements

  • BS or BA in Computer Science (or similar) or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Java+Android OR Objective-C+Cocoa Touch
  • At least 1 year experience with mobile development, with at least one shipped app
  • Good taste UI/UX, attention to detail, and a passion for developing extremely polished apps
  • Experience communicating with web services (JSON, REST, XML …)
  • Familiarity working in a *nix environment and on the shell

Nice-to-haves

  • Python experience
  • Web development experience
  • Shell scripting experience
  • Database experience (MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra, etc)

Front-End Designer/Developer

Responsibilities

Help improve and evolve the Guidebook design philosophy, both on the web and mobile. You will be working directly with the Creative Director as a senior designer — your designs will be seen by thousands nearly instantly.

Requirements

  • Extreme passion for pixel-perfect design.
  • Design or CS degree *not* required.
  • Experience designing and developing for the web.
  • At least 1 year experience with mobile design, preferably with a shipped app to showcase.
  • Experience in web development technologies including HTML, CSS3, JS
  • Mastery of at least Photoshop.
  • A solid portfolio of work; personal 'hobby' projects are encouraged!

Nice-to-haves

  • Helps to know jQuery, Backbone.js, Django, Python
  • Illustrator experience.
  • Experience with collateral and/or print design.

Python Web Developer

Responsibilities

Help improve our web-based self-service interface and our awesome APIs.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in Computer Science (or similar) or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years experience developing products written in Python
  • Experience designing clean data models and APIs
  • Experience with a Python Web framework (Django, Pylons... etc)
  • Knowledge of RESTful design concepts

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience optimizing and tuning for large-scale database performance

Sales Development Representative

Description

The SDR holds an important position at the top of the sales funnel. In order for the company to make sales, we need to be talking to the right people at the right companies. The SDR qualifies our inbound leads and determines what the next steps are to encourage them to buy. By identifying active buying interest, the SDR creates opportunities for account executives to close. The SDR will also coordinate with their Account Executive (AE) counterparts to determine the accounts that require research and prospecting activities to secure a sufficient flow of additional qualified opportunities. An implicit responsibility of the SDR is to conduct business dealings in a way that creates a superior prospect experience that will set the stage for effective sales follow-up, as well as future product sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop target accounts and inbound leads to create sales-ready leads and opportunities
  • Interact with prospects via telephone and email
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunities

Account Executive

Description

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for driving revenue for Guidebook. Our Marketing Department qualifies and assigns inbound leads to our AEs. AEs are then responsible for learning about our prospects' business goals, designing and delivering presentations highlighting the benefits of our solution, and ultimately closing sales. An implicit responsibility of the AE is to conduct business dealings in a way that leads to a successful implementation of our product(s), resulting in the acquisition of long-term clients who are happy with Guidebook.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with prospects via telephone and email
  • Manage 1,000+ accounts, selling Guidebook's entire suite of products
  • Educate prospects on Guidebook, highlighting the various ways they will benefit from using our product(s).
  • Close deals and consistently meet or exceed a quarterly quota

Customer Success Associate

Description

Our Customer Success Associates ensure that our customers are happy and are receiving the most value that they can from our solutions. The majority of an associate's day is spent using Guidebook Gears, our content management system, to construct mobile guides with data given to us by our clients. Guidebook Gears is also a self-service tool used by thousands of our clients, and our Customer Success Associates are responsible for determining how to improve the system. Associates are usually given a few other responsibilities, depending on individual skill sets. Examples include assisting with email campaigns, conducting competitive research, and communicating insight from our end-users to the entire company.
