Dear friends and colleagues,

On behalf of the Korean Society of Food Science and Technology (KoSFoST) and the organizing committee, it gives me great pleasure and honor to welcome you to the 6th International Conference on Food Factors—ICoFF 2015.

With the mission of promoting research in all aspects of basic and applied food technology, ICoFF is an international conference that is recognized within the rapidly growing field of food science. Stemming from JSoFF in 1995, ICoFF has been held every four years thereafter. It is an avenue in which experts from the academe, national laboratories, and the industry from over 40 countries are brought together. Thanks to this continuous growth, more than 1,200 participants from all over the world attend ICoFF 2015.

This conference, under the main theme “Bioconvergence for Food Function," will take a comprehensive look at nearly all areas related to food. The scientific program is composed of plenary lectures, special lectures, concurrent sessions, and poster sessions. To make the event more memorable, we are to hold a session for the Young Investigator Award to encourage young scientists for the next generation. With all these, we assure you that ICoFF 2015 will indeed be another major step forward for the food factors industry.

We sincerely look forward to welcoming all of you to the Republic of Korea—a country that greatly values its 5,000 years of history.
