About this guide
From the PresidentGreetings Fellow Denver Chapter Members,
October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. The National Cyber Security Awareness Month is observed every October and led by the National Cyber Security Alliance and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. ISACA is proud to be a 2017 Champion Organization.
The European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) is the EU's annual advocacy campaign that also takes place in October and aims to raise awareness of cyber security threats, promote cyber security among citizens and provide up to date security information, through education and sharing of good practices. ISACA is proud to be a partner.
Cyber attacks are increasing in sophistication and frequency, yet the shortage of skilled technical professionals has continued to grow exponentially. To help you and your business stay secure, ISACA has put together a number of helpful, free resources and tools: https://cybersecurity.isaca.org/info/cyber-aware/index.html?icid=bani_1224721&appeal=bani
Don't forget that the Denver Chapter posts copies of prior Chapter Presentations on our http://isaca-denver.org/Chapter-Resources/ page. The FAIR ® presentation and supplemental material provided by Jack Jones from our September meeting have already been posted.
Keep an eye out for the Call for Papers and Early-Bird Registration for the 2018 RMISC. Both are expected to open in October. https://www.rmisc.org/
