At Towson University, Commencement is a formal academic ceremony that recognizes the scholarly achievements of baccalaureate, master's and doctoral candidates. We follow traditions that are thousands of years old, as well as those unique to Towson University. All commencement participants must strive to maintain a measure of decorum consonant with the occasion.
TU Commencement ceremonies are held annually in May and December. May and December ceremonies are identical in formality, tone and experience. All ceremonies take place in the
