About this guide
The University of Pittsburgh Division of Student Affairs invites you and your families to participate in New and Transfer Student Orientation. This week is designed to welcome you to campus and to help you get acclimated to your new home. Let this orientation schedule serve as a guide for your first week on campus. We encourage you to participate in these programs and get involved. Please continue to check back for updates throughout Orientation 2017!
If you are new to using Guidebook, we encourage you to take some time to explore this guide. Here are some tips that might help you utilize all that this guide has to offer:
- When you utilize the Orientation Schedule function, you will notice that only one day of the schedule is displayed at a time. Use the arrow functions at the top of the screen in order to scroll back and forth through the different days. Using these arrows will allow you to view the scheduled events for different days.
- Also in the Orientation Schedule function, you will see that many of the programs are color coded. These colors refer to the following: programs for parent & families (purple), OCC programs (green), required programs for all incoming first-year students (red), & late night programs (yellow).
- From the main Orientation Schedule, you can identify programs by looking at the color associated with the event you are viewing. You can also directly access your specific population's events from the main menu by selecting the multi-color circle icon and then tapping on your designated color. For example, if you are looking for required programs, click on the red circle and you will be guided to all required programs.
