Leonard Nolasco

I graduated from U of T with a HBA specializing in political science with a minor in Canadian Studies. My passion for international development led be to take up a project management position in Qatar where SickKids worked with local partners to build paediatric healthcare capacity for the country. During this time, I completed a certificate in Project Management through the School of Continuing Studies at U of T. Four and a half years after Qatar, I spent eight months working with SickKids International on a business development strategy. This led to a partnership with the Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa. I was seconded there for one year helping commission and operationalize a new children's hospital. Shortly after that, I was offered a position at SickKids Foundation (the fundraising arm of the Hospital for Sick Children) as a Major Gifts Officer. In this role, I work with individuals and families as well as secure new gifts from donors in support of our No Limits Campaign. In addition, I am the fundraising lead for our international portfolio which includes the Caribbean, Ghana, South Africa, and the Middle East.
