With over eight years of communications experience, McKenna has held progressive roles in both the private and public sector. McKenna started her career with one of Canada's largest public relations firms, and progressed to a Senior Consultant role. There she specialized in Corporate and Financial public relations working day-to-day with a variety of clients. McKenna subsequently moved to the public sector to expand her communications skill set and currently holds the position of Digital Writer at Ontario Pension Board. There she is responsible for developing effective digital communications for OPBs clients. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, and a post-graduate certificate in public relations from Humber College.
