Paul Nazareth has a two-decade career in philanthropy creating social-profit for public good. Currently the Vice President, Education & Development at the Canadian Association of Gift Planners, he was most recently was VP at the charity CanadaHelps that was started by three University students in a basement and now raises over $175M a year. Paul has worked as a philanthropic advisor at a bank (did you know that was a real job?) and charities including the University of Toronto. He currently is on the board of several charities in Toronto, is Chair of the advisory board of the Humber College Postgraduate fundraising program and national teaching faculty on the topic of tax and philanthropy. He is a frequent speaker on connecting for career success at Universities, business schools and has been featured in the Globe and Mail on personal branding online and networking in Forbes. Paul is an active volunteer with UofT receiving an alumni Arbor award in 2016 for his work in student and alumni mentorship and personally hosting over 300 students over a decade at the 'Dinner for 12 Strangers'. He met most of his friends and his life-partner at UofT and if it was socially acceptable would have named his children “New” and “College”.
