Collaborations to Improve Health
AACN's popular January programs are tailored to individuals who teach in doctoral programs and/or have the research agenda as a primary responsibility. With content addressing both the practice and the research doctorate, and the willingness to debate the controversial issues that surround doctoral education, our programs provide ample opportunity for development of teaching, research, and administrative roles.
Choose Your Programs
1. The Doctoral Education Conference explores national trends in doctoral education, strategies to support academic-practice partnerships, and ways to increase or maintain rigor in doctoral education.
2. Individuals involved in promoting, administering, and engaging in faculty practice should attend the Faculty Practice Pre-Conference, which is coordinated by AACN's Practice Leadership Network. Emphasis is being placed on the need for practice savvy educators who can translate current healthcare environment scenarios to the classroom at every level.
3. Deans and associate deans for research who offer research-focused doctoral nursing programs or those planning a new program will find great learning opportunities and a networking platform with the PhD Pre-Conference. Issues germane to PhD education and the challenges commonly encountered are presented by leaders in doctoral education.
4. Nursing faculty who have leadership roles facilitating research within their nursing programs come together at the Research Leadership Network (RLN) Program.
