Jeffrey Hice is a Training Specialist in the Preparedness Branch of EMI. His duties focus on course developments and revisions associated with the NIMS/ ICS Curriculum and the National Qualification System (NQS).

Prior to joining FEMA, Jeff served a career in the U.S. Army. Jeff has considerable training and experience in Emergency Management. As a member of the DoDs Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team program, he responded to numerous potential terrorist events, HazMat incidents and National Security Special Events. He also led execution of National Guard support for response in Virginia State Disaster Declarations for several floods, hurricanes and winter storms.

Jeff has earned a BA in History from Houghton College, a MA degree in History from St. Bonaventure University, and a MA degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S Army War College. He has over 2,000 hours of specialized training in WMD, Terrorism, HazMat Response and Emergency Management. His qualifications include DoD Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Responder.
