Delores Scott is the Chief of the Disability Integration Bureau at the District of Columbia Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency. She is also the Districts disability integration and emergency preparedness subject matter expert in the lawsuitUnited Spinal Association, et al. v. District of Columbia, et al. (case number 1:14-cv-01528), filed September 9, 2014. Ms. Scott works across all levels of government and with the disability community; helping to identify and meet the predictable accessibility requirements of individuals with disabilities before, during and after an emergency. Recently, Ms. Scott was appointed to the FEMA Region 3 Advisory Council to champion Disability issues. She has over 20 years experience as a disability rights attorney and 10 years experience in emergency management. Prior to joining HSEMA, Ms. Scott served as the Senior Advisor to the DHS/FEMA Interagency Coordinating Council on Emergency Preparedness and Individuals with Disabilities. She is an active member of the DC Bar Association.
