Ronda Oberlin is Certified Floodplain Manager and a Certified Emergency Manager. In her 19 years in local emergency management she has focused on natural hazard mitigation, particularly flood mitigation, and risk communication. She has a BA in Communication, an MS in Emergency Management, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Communication. Ronda is the co-founder of the Do 1 Thing emergency preparedness program (do1thing.com
) and in 2015 was inducted into the International Women in Emergency Management Hall of Fame for her work in risk communication.
