Dr. Mark Grey is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Northern Iowa, and a specialist in working with underserved and diverse populations, particularly with immigrants and refugees. He has an international reputation, and has published widely. Dr. Grey has spoken at hundreds of trainings and conferences over the past several decades with law enforcement, the military, health, education, social services, and other professionals on how to work effectively in cross-cultural environments. He also volunteers actively with Iowa search and rescue activities as a SARTECH II and Search Manager, as well as with the American Red Cross, the Iowa Disaster Mortuary Operations Team, FEMA Community Emergency Response Teams, and other organizations.
