Mrs. Logsdon spent 4 years volunteering and 9 years as paid staff at the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago before starting The Logsdon Group to provide emergency management service and support to local government, community colleges and the health and medical community.
In 2010, Diane was hired as an adjunct instructor at the William Rainey Harper College (Palatine, IL) Emergency and Disaster Management program. In 2012, she was hired as an adjunct continuing education instructor with the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA) at the College of DuPage (Glen Ellyn, IL). Additional responsibility for the emergency management instruction block at the SLEA recruit program was added in 2017.
In 2014, Diane was added to the cadre of instructors within the TEEX Critical Infrastructure Program. While with TEEX, she was an integral team member of the 2017 course revision to include not only FEMA and NIMS updates, but also the inclusion of the new CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule (2016) within the MGT 341 Preparedness for Hospital and Health Care course.
Diane’s response experience includes Non-Governmental Organization, Federal and State of Illinois paid deployments on multiple local, regional, state and national response teams. She is an ICS 400 level instructor certified by the States of Illinois and Indiana. And
Is also served as a responder for the Texas Public Works Response Team.
Instruction of classes conducted on the National Preparedness System and Emergency Operation for critical infrastructure.
