Sean M. Griffin is founder and owner of ecubed us LLC, a veteran-owned small business focused on building a culture of preparedness, supporting resilient business systems, and empowering agile communities.  Mr. Griffin seeks to partner with innovative teams and individuals to reduce global risk from future disasters and significant incidents.

Mr. Griffin was previously Director for Incident Management Integration Policy at the White House National Security Council for President Obama and President Trump. At the White House, Mr. Griffin led the Executive Office of the President and interagency policy coordination for major disasters and incidents, to include the 2016 Louisiana flood response and recovery and Hurricane Matthew. Mr. Griffin is a published writer on the whitehouse.gov blog on national preparedness and U.S. disasters.  Mr. Griffin chaired the Exercise and Evaluation Interagency Policy Committee, revamping the National Exercise Program (NEP), led the Senior Officials Exercise Program, and directed the Presidential Transition Exercise Series to prepare the incoming Trump Administration Senior White House staff and Cabinet officials for natural disasters, cyber incidents, infectious diseases, and terrorist incidents. Mr. Griffin also led the revision to the NEP Base Plan, the policy that governs the NEP. 

As a Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Mr. Griffin managed the DOE Energy Sector Exercise Program, State Energy Assurance Program, and the Energy Sector Cyber Preparedness Program, solving critical policy and preparedness challenges for global energy sector security, resiliency, and response. Mr. Griffin directed DOE's flagship energy disaster exercise series, Clear Path, examining energy sector response and restoration efforts from catastrophic natural hazards. In June 2017, the White House chose the Clear Path exercise, based on a catastrophic Gulf Coast hurricane, to prepare the new senior White House staff, the Cabinet, and key Federal response agency heads for the 2017 historic hurricane season. Mr. Griffin was instrumental in coordinating power restoration efforts for the 2017 hurricanes and led deployment of Federal power restoration teams to USVI and Puerto Rico. Most recently, Mr. Griffin was Senior Manager for Policy and Coordination at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation.
