Welcome to Kissimmee! It's a pleasure to welcome you to the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants Winter Symposium.
Our conference brings you the highest quality recertification and learning experience. You also have the added benefit of enjoying Orlando, the “Theme Park Capital of the World." The Orlando area features 7 out of the 10 most-visited theme parks
. We hope you fit a visit to one of the parks into your schedule.
FAPA continues to be successful in our legislative endeavors with the help of you the members and conference attendees. Be sure to join me for lunch on Friday and ask any questions you may have. We want to keep you updated on the latest FAPA initiatives and new Florida laws as they relate to PAs. You will also have the opportunity to mingle with your fellow conference attendees and FAPA leadership. You know your FAPA leaders are approachable and eager to hear your input as a FAPA member or conference attendee. Please use this opportunity to network with other PAs and with Academy leaders.
On Saturday, FAPA invites you to attend the Board of Directors meeting from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Feel free to join us at this quarterly business meeting. The Board works to meet our mission – Empower, Represent and Advocate for Florida PAs
and achieve our vision - Fully integrate PAs into every aspect of health care in Florida
Later on Saturday, join us for the 13th Annual Student Challenge Bowl. Teams of PA students across the state vie for the trophy and bragging rights of winning the bowl. Watch and cheer for your alma mater. It is also a great way to prepare for recertification!
Our Conference Planning Committee and KWMG staff have done a tremendous job to provide you with an exceptional conference. The Conference Planning Committee, co-chaired by Hilene De Amorim and Erin Luders, assembled a strong group of speakers who are well-respected and expert health care providers.
FAPA thanks you for your attendance and your support. I look forward to speaking with you. Feel free to reach out to me during the conference.
