Ms. April Geruso brings over 14 years of experience as an emergency manager and planner. At Hagerty Consulting, Inc., where she serves as Director of Resilience, Ms. Geruso has led the oversight process for numerous projects around the country. Most recently she supported the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) housing mission in response to the gas explosions in Lawrence, MA. Her disaster recovery work includes leading the development of disaster recovery and redevelopment plans for eleven counties along the Georgia coastline. Previously, she helped New York City manage disaster cost recovery related to Hurricane Sandy and led revisions to the State of New Hampshire Long-Term Recovery Annex. She has also played a key role in Hagerty's work as the firm managing California's recovery from the 2018 California wildfires. Prior to Hagerty, Ms. Geruso served in a variety of preparedness, response, and recovery roles, including as the Deputy Director for Planning at the City of Philadelphia Managing Director's Office - Office of Emergency Management.
