John Banghoff is a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in State College, PA. He received his Master's degree in Meteorology from Pennsylvania State University in May 2019. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania for grad school, John attended The Ohio State University where he received his bachelor's degree in Meteorology. While at Ohio State, John volunteered with the NWS in Wilmington, OH, spent a summer at the NWS in Atlanta, GA, worked with Franklin County Emergency Management Agency, and provided on-site weather support for a professional soccer venue in Columbus. John has enjoyed working to improve decision support services initiatives in the NWS and fostering better relationships with emergency managers and core partners.
