Peter Raber has worked for the City of Chicago's Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) since 2007. During his tenure, Mr. Raber has led Chicago's Mass Care planning efforts, managed the City's Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) for Hurricane Maria evacuees, and supervised the OEMC Operations Center, a 24/7/365 multiagency coordination center.
Mr. Raber has served as EOC Manager for over thirty separate emergencies and large special events including the 2012 NATO Summit, 2008 & 2012 Presidential Election Night Celebrations, and the 2016 World Series. He is also OEMC's primary liaison to the National Weather Service.
Before joining OEMC, Raber worked for the American Red Cross in a variety of positions, including as a Chapter Emergency Services Director in Rockford, IL.
