Tony Mendes, FEMA [www.fema.gov] Mitigation Specialist and Program Manager for Community Engagement and Risk Communication (CERC). An emergency manager of many disaster events across the nation ranging from Hurricanes, Floods, Earthquake to Wildfires. At the Federal Emergency Management Agency, he manages disaster operations, outreach and risk analysis programs. He is a US Army veteran; a graduate of the University of San Francisco in International Relations; graduate work at the University of Denver in Emergency Management/Homeland Security. Mr. Mendes has two sons, and enjoys traveling, gardening, skiing and raising Kunekune pigs and Friesian horses in Denver, Colorado and at Raven’s Nest Farm in south-central Wisconsin.
