Educating for Careers 2020

Special Greetings

From Your Conference Committee

Welcome to the 2020 Educating for Careers Conference. The Conference Committee has exciting additions to the format this year. The conference will continue to go paperless with the program online in a downloadable version and on the Educating for Careers 2020 app. The goal of the Committee is that all attendees will find a wealth of information to jump-start the entire Educating for Careers Conference. Each year a variety of delivery systems, strategies, and Industry Sectors throughout California's CTE system are represented in the more than 200 breakout sessions offered over the course of this three-day conference.

Breakout sessions are open to all conference attendees even though they may be identified by a specific icon(s) in the description. Here are a few highlights from the conference:

  • Thursday will open with three rounds of 90-minute interactive Intensive Seminars
  • The 0pening general session Keynote Mark C. Perna, Thursday, 3:30 – 5:00 pm
  • The Friday morning general session Keynote Corinne Hoisington, 8:15 – 9:45 am
  • The Networking Reception and Share Fair on Friday, February 28 from 4:30 – 6:00 pm in Long Beach Convention Center, Hall B that features excellent examples of project-based learning.
  • The robust Exhibitors' Marketplace with over 60 exhibits including education and technology, and student displays.
