Judith Littlejohn is the Instructional Designer at SUNY Genesee Community College (GCC) in Batavia, NY. She has been teaching online courses since 2013. Littlejohn led her campus HyFlex Team in creating HyFLex standards and supports in 2019. She frequently presents on several online learning topics, such as “Increasing Student Engagement with Open Pedagogy Projects” and “HyFlex Course Development Guidelines,” both at OLC Accelerate last year, as well as many SUNY presentations on building student metacognition and transparent assessment. Her podcast interviews on SUNY Oswego’s Tea for Teaching (episodes 2 and 99) have been well-received, as have the support websites she creates for her workshops, the latest of which is Responsive Course Design. She received the SUNY Award for Excellence in Instruction at Community Colleges in 2016, and a SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service in 2014. Littlejohn earned her M.A. in American History and World History from SUNY College at Brockport and holds a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
