My first foray into the world of distance education was through teaching. I taught multiple sections of a blended course from 2015-2017. In 2018, I made the transition to instructional design work. I have created online courses and consulted with faculty for my home university, University of North Texas, and also non-profit organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. In my work in my local community, I am an advocate for and trainer of diversity and inclusion and am passionate about using instructional design to further diversity and inclusion initiatives and, likewise, using diversity and inclusion principles to improve instructional design.
