Michael Wright is a graduate of Malone University in Canton, Ohio where he played football, ran track, and was part of the University debate team. Michael graduated with an undergraduate degree in English and Integrated Language Arts. Michael taught English/Language Arts at Jackson Local Schools for six years where he helped usher in Google Classroom and a 1 to 1 student laptop initiative. While at Jackson Michael coached football, wrestling, track, and speech and debate. Between 2014-15 Michael obtained his Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from the University Akron and moved from Jackson to Northeast Ohio Medical University as an Instructional Designer. During his first three years at Northeast Ohio Medical University, Michael ushered in many new applications used to impact instruction and teaching within the University such as: University template design, wireless presenting, University calendaring system, supplemental recording software, instructional design policies and practices, Zoom web conferencing, and has lead multiple training initiatives across the University. Michael in tandem with his wife, Ashley and daughter, Kristian, are involved in many non-profit organizations in Stark County, Ohio, they enjoy sports, spending time as a family, training their dog Loki, and collecting rare books.
