Welcome to the University of Miami!

The ‘Cane Kickoff orientation program is a time of celebration and new beginnings. 'Cane Kickoff is a mandatory transition program immediately prior to the start of classes that assist first-year undergraduate and transfer students with their academic, personal, social, and cultural transition to the University of Miami.

The optional family orientation experience is intentionally planned separately to give our families the opportunity to learn about the University and all it has to offer.
