Claire Collins is the Senior Speech Pathologist on the Neurosciences ward in St Vincent's Hospital. Claire has been working with the acquired brain injury population for several years. Claire has experience working in acute and rehabilitation hospitals in both Australia and Ireland, in the areas of acquired communication and swallowing impairments in the adult population. Robert Thorniley is the Occupational Therapist on the Neurosciences ward in St Vincent's Hospital. Robert has developed a broad range of experience in Occupational Therapy by working across acute, rehabilitation and community settings. More recently Robert has obtained specialised experience working with patients with acquired brain injuries. Both Claire and Robert work closely together in the assessment and management of patients with severe brain injuries. They are passionate about the important role of interdisciplinary practice in the acute hospital setting to ensure holistic management and to improve overall patient care.
