Dr Kelly-Ann Bowles is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Allied Health Research Unit at Monash University/Monash Health. With a background in Biomechanics and Sports Science, her PhD focused on the perceived flaws in current sports bra designs and sports bra usage by females during physical activity. Currently, Dr Bowles is using her skills in research design and analysis in the public health, Allied Health setting. Dr Bowles recently managed the quantitative data for the NHMRC and DHHS partnership funded research investigating the effect of weekend Allied Health in an acute hospital setting. She currently works with numerous Allied Health clinicians to expand their research skills. She has been successful in receiving numerous awards for her research, including the NSW Sporting Injures Best New NSW Talent in Applied Sports Medicine Research Award and the Wendy Ey Women in Sport Award from Sports Medicine Australia.
