S316p.07 — Using Open Clusters Investigating Milky Way Disk: Role of LAMOST

LAMOST has obtained more than 2M stellar spectra during the first 2 years formal survey periods. Among them, there are up to 1000 open clusters regions were observed (partly) by the LAMOST, and some clusters have more than 1000 member stars be observed. Combined with photometric data, we have studied up to a hundred of open clusters, deriving their member stars, radial velocities, metallicities, distances (and extinction). With the increasing number of clusters being investigated, we can examine a number of disk properties, such as metallicity gradient, thin disk structure as well as clusters properties statistically. In this presentation, I will mainly introduce some results we have obtained concerning open clusters observed by the LAMOST.
