Ms. Bodiford represents and counsels employers on complex labor and employment issues. She has experience representing private employers, public agencies and school districts in matters including employee discipline and termination, leave and benefits, employee speech and privacy, discrimination, due process, administrative hearings, workplace investigations and facilities use issues. She also drafts personnel rules and policies. Ms. Bodiford also advises employers on complex areas of labor law and assists in labor negotiations, dispute resolution, collective bargaining, contract administration, issues under PERB, and other labor code violations.
She also has experience advising public agencies on the impasse process and preparing for factfinding. Ms. Bodiford has extensive experience designing comparability studies, identifying and selecting comparable agencies, and gathering related data for use in bargaining and factfinding.
Ms. Bodiford also has significant experience advising clients on transactional matters, including drafting and negotiating contracts, and representing clients in business and estate litigation matters.
She served as a law clerk for the Office of the County Counsel for San Mateo County while in law school, and was an Articles Editor for the University of San Francisco Law Review, Volume 44.
Prior to beginning her legal career, Ms. Bodiford was a market manager with BNSF Railway.
