Fred Plevin is a Founder and Managing Partner of Paul, Plevin, Sullivan & Connaughton LLP, a 26-lawyer, defense-side labor and employment law firm in San Diego. He has specialized in representing California employers for 30 years – 12 with the Gray Cary firm in San Diego, and 18 with Paul, Plevin.
Fred represents clients in the public and private sector in all aspects of labor and employment law, with an emphasis on the defense of employment discrimination/harassment and wage/hour claims (individual and class action).
He also devotes a significant portion of his practice to advising clients regarding employment issues.
Fred has been included in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2005, and in Southern California Super Lawyers and The Best of the U.S. attorney listings since 2007. For 2012, Fred was Best Lawyers’ “San Diego Lawyer of the Year – Litigation – Labor & Employment.” Fred is a member of several invitation-only national groups, including the American Employment Law Council, the Litigation Counsel of America and the Wage & Hour Defense Institute.
