Jamie Wilson is a Supervisor in the Sponsored Programs Administration Office at UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). She joined UTSW in 2012 as a Grants and Contracts Specialist and was promoted to a Senior Grants and Contracts Specialist within 1 year, soon followed by a promotion to leadership. She has over 9 years of experience in Grants and Contracts Management. Jamie worked for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the state of Louisiana's Governor's Office of Homeland Security (GOHSEP) as a Grants and Contracts Administrator over a span of 4 years, managing proposals at the federal and state level. She has been with UTSW for the past 5 years. Jamie has been instrumental in the development and improvement of many processes at the institutional and departmental level, in addition to, developing and conducting trainings for internal and external customers. As a result, many accomplishments have been attained, one of which is increasing early proposal submission from 22% to 96%. Jamie plays a major role in the design, implementation and improvement of eGrants by working closely with the institutions Academic Information Systems (AIS) team. Although positioned on the Pre-Award side of the operation, Jamie is involved in various post award functions and has played a significant role in the development and implementation of several business processes including, award management, award closeout, internal controls and audit defense. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, along with a Master's Degree in Business Administration and Master's Degree in Health Systems Management.
