Cheryl Anderson is the Director in the Sponsored Programs Administration Office at UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). Cheryl began her career with UTSW in 2000, as a Grants and Contracts Specialist in the Central Office and quickly rose to a leadership position as an Assistant Director. In 2010 Cheryl was promoted to the Director role which she holds today. She currently manages the Proposal team and the Agreements team at UTSW. Cheryl is the designated signing official for all research proposals for UTSW. She has been an integral part of the process improvements, process design, restructure and revamps across pre-award and post-award. Cheryl is the liaison and primary contact person with all research sponsors in SPA. Prior to joining UTSW Cheryl worked as an auditor with the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, then as a Program Official for the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. She has total state service of 27 years. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She has been an NCURA member for 17 years.
