Orlando Leon serves as the Chief Information Officer overseeing all things relating to technology at Fresno State. He was born and raised in San Francisco, California. Orlando attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Management Science, and Computer Science and Engineering. He has over 15 years of experience in the information technology field with 10 years in higher education. Orlando spent his first 4 years after graduating from college as a software programmer and a product manager at Oracle and has spent the past 11 years in various technology leadership roles in higher education, first at UC San Francisco, then Stanford University, and now at Fresno State. He has the privilege and honor of working directly with students to help raise the next generation of leaders through technology, mentoring, coaching, and sharing life.
Orlando is married to his wife, Rebecca, and has a 5 and a half year old life-loving boy. He enjoys photography, volleyball, nature, cars, all things electronics, and deep conversations about life.
