The Nebraska Career Education Conference is sponsored by the Nebraska Department of Education and in cooperation with the Association for Career and Technical Education of Nebraska. Each year, this conference strives to provide career education professionals with strategies on how to generate skills for lifelong learning, earning, and living among each and every student and adult learner.
This lively four-day event is a chance to join hundreds of career educators from across the state in a remarkable professional development opportunity. The conference is held each year from Tuesday through Thursday during the first full week of June.
Monday is a day of pre-conference full of interesting workshops from all career areas. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are dedicated to keynote speakers and sessions running in tracks related to specific career fields.
Vendor exhibits showcase curriculum materials, fundraising opportunities, software and hardware and related services on Wednesday of the conference.
Conference sessions take place at the Younes Conference Center in Kearney, NE. In addition, many of the specialty workshops are held at various locations at the Holiday Inn and the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
